We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth operation of our medical office or healthcare facility.

Job Responsibilities:

Greet and assist patients in person, over the phone, or via email.

Schedule and confirm patient appointments.

Maintain and organize medical records and files (physical and digital).

Prepare and process medical documents such as reports, referrals, and insurance forms.

Handle patient billing, invoices, and insurance claims.

Communicate with healthcare professionals and external providers as needed.

Ensure compliance with medical confidentiality and data protection laws.

Order and maintain office and medical supplies.

Transcribe medical dictation and type correspondence and reports.

Job Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Medical Secretary or similar role.

Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.

Proficient in office software (e.g., MS Office) and medical office systems (e.g., EMR/EHR software).

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification as a Medical Secretary or in Medical Office Administration.

Familiarity with insurance billing procedures and coding.
